How We Put Things Together
Sellabit Mum exists to give real, usable answers to the small decisions that make up a busy household — what to buy, what to skip, and what actually works once you get it home. Every piece we publish is written with that goal in mind, not with the goal of filling space.
Research
Before anything is written, we look at the product, service, or topic from a practical angle: does it hold up to daily use, what do other parents and reviewers say, and where do opinions genuinely differ? We rely on hands-on experience wherever possible, supplemented by manufacturer information, publicly available documentation, and other trustworthy sources. We avoid repeating claims we can’t stand behind.
Writing
We write the way we’d explain something to a friend over coffee — clearly, honestly, and without unnecessary jargon. If something is genuinely great, we’ll say so. If it’s mediocre, we’ll say that too. Our recommendations are shaped by usefulness, not by which option is easiest to write about.
Corrections
Products change, prices shift, and sometimes we simply get something wrong. When that happens, we update the content as soon as we’re aware of it. We don’t quietly erase mistakes; if a correction is significant, we note it so returning readers can see what changed.
Honesty About Interests
Where a page includes affiliate links or any other commercial relationship, that relationship never dictates the conclusion. We’d rather lose a sale than recommend something we don’t believe in. Our reputation with readers matters more than any single partnership.
Ongoing Review
Content on this site isn’t written once and forgotten. We revisit older articles periodically to make sure they still reflect reality, and we welcome reader feedback that points out anything outdated or inaccurate. If you spot something that needs a second look, we genuinely want to hear about it.
