I am so excited to finally be able to share some amazing news with you! I’m not pregnant or a Republican. Don’t worry.
Are you familiar with Listen To Your Mother? Well you need to be..and if you are not..well you are about to fall in love.
LTYM was created by Ann Imig and is a national series of live readings by local writers in celebration of Mother’s Day. Born of the creative work of mothers who publish on-line, each productions is directed, produced, and performed by local communities, for local communities.
The mission of each LISTEN TO YOUR MOTHER production is to take the audience on a well-crafted journey that celebrates and validates mothering through giving voice to motherhood–in all of its complexity, diversity, and humor.
LISTEN TO YOUR MOTHER aims to support motherhood creatively through artistic expression, and also financially–through contributions to non-profit organizations supporting families in need.
And the BIG NEWS – Listen To Your Mother is expanding to include more cities and is coming to the Twin Cities May of 2013!!! I count myself honored to be one of the four women bringing this amazing show to our community. I’m even more honored to be in the presence of the creative and inspiring greatness of Heather, Galit and Vikki who I just can’t swoon over enough. How lucky to be able to work and collaborate with such amazing women.
So stay tuned Twin Cities – because this is going to be beautiful. Watch for our own local LTYM website coming soon and for the official date and venue announcement, and for the call for auditions. Trust me, you want to be a part of this.
In the meantime make sure you are following the LTYM Facebook and twitter feeds for further information.
…and check out the official announcement…
Love you all.

Popping my second cork this week in honor of the three of you! xo

I’m trying to work up the nerve to audition for the DC show this year. I’m terrified of public speaking.
