We have a little disagreement in our household. Four people in our home are in agreement but the fifth will not assimilate.
One of my favorite bloggers has a series called “I’m Right, You’re Wrong” that I would love to use for this post to discuss an important subject. You need to go back and read all of Marinka’s “I’m Right, You’re Wrong” posts – they are all quite brilliant and really..she is right almost every time unless it’s a disagreement with her mother…because as we know our mothers are always correct.
Disagreement: Is breakfast for dinner really a proper dinner?
Those in Disagreement: Four family members vs. One which will remain anonymous
Position One: Breakfast for dinner is yummy! Who doesn’t love pancakes, waffles, cereal and milk, eggs, crepes or quiche for dinner? Bring on the BRINNER! We love brinner! It’s quick, it’s easy and it’s yummy! Everyone loves it. You can make it completely nutritious by adding fruit and maybe a protein – BACON! Brinner for all! Let’s get t-shirts made!
Position Two: Breakfast is not for dinner. Breakfast is for breakfast. Dinner is for dinner. Dinner has meat and potatoes and maybe a proper salad or vegetable. If you are in Minnesota maybe it’s even a casserole. Never is a plate of pancakes, a waffle or god forbid and egg an acceptable alternative to dinner. Just say no to breakfast for dinner! Where’s my steak?
So what do you say? Bring on the brinner or save the syrup for mornings only?
And on a totally different subject…
