A Birthday Suit…not that kind of Birthday Suit..

Yes, I know my birthday was so almost two weeks ago and all but I didn’t share my outfit yet. Also in case you missed my birthday because of Hanukkah or Christmas or something equally of lesser importance, now is the chance to wish me a happy birthday or to send cash. I’m not picky.

I wore..

Cord dress from Anthropologie, Clarissa leggings from Matilda Jane Clothing, Cardinal Cardigan from Matilda Jane Clothing, Brown riding boots from Naturalizer, jewelry from Target.

I had a great birthday. My dear friend Kristi took me out to breakfast at Bon Vie. Afterwards we got manicures at Lady Fingers on Selby. Am I the only one who giggles when they say Lady Fingers? Say it for me now….Lady Fingers…and try not to laugh.  Then I finished up my Christmas shopping.

Jed had to work so I treated the girls to a dinner of burgers and malts at Snuffy’s Malt Shop. My dad joined us. It was perfect..and only $20.

I was spoiled with gift cards to Anthropologie so I’ve been window shopping. It’s okay to think about Spring clothing already, yes?

Like I love this green dress from Anthropologie… but every time I wear a green dress I think of the Barenaked Ladies song “If I had a million dollars” and I wonder if it really is cruel? I love green.

and I wonder if I can still do a sleeveless bicycle dress at my age? Don’t answer that. Okay, you can answer that.

If I may admit I already purchased a buttery yellow pair of skinny ankle jeans...

But maybe I now I need this sweater to go with them for Spring transition? I’m glad that a bit of nautical is still in fashion for Spring.

No matter I could use a new pair of Seychelles anytime – like these vintage t-strap heels. Yes?

Did you receive any fun gift cards from the Holidays?  What is on your Spring wish-list?

I want to go shopping with you! You always look so great in the outfits you put together. I need a serious makeover! And no, you are not too old for that dress…some other women your age but not you. You could totally rock that dress!

I have to agree with Kristen — others could pull off that dress, but you could! Happy belated birthday, you make 30′s look so good! Oh wait, you mean you’re past that?! I would never know… ;-)

I like the green dress more than the bicycle print. Not because I do not think you could pull it off (you totally could), I just like the green one better.

If I have not said it already, Happy Birthday!

    Lovin the green dress!
“Hells” No to the bike dress. But I see that I’m in the minority here. That’s okay. What do Gays know about fashion and design anyway?

I think both the dresses would look beautiful on you! And I think Anthropologie should hire you for a model!

I adore the bicycle dress. You would look adorable in it!

Also Lady Fingers also makes me giggle. Slash I sort of want to get a pedicure before I go on vacation on Saturday… perhaps I’ll go there and giggle.

Gosh you have a quirky sense of humor!
    (I think I read that somewhere….)

I love you AND your sense of style. And one of those things I have a chance of ever getting near.

    Hopefully.

p.s. “Lady Fingers” does make me giggle. And if you said it while wearing a bicycle dress? Hysterical.

Your birthday outfit was adorbs, as usual, and I love those buttery yellow skinny jeans with he nautical sweater. And those Seychelles? ::Swoon::

I have a couple of gift cards to ATL burning a hole in my wallet, and one to White House Black Market. Planning a shopping excursion over MLK weekend, but I may save some for the spring/summer fashions.

Wow, I wish I could wear those yellow jeans & definitely yes to the striped sweater with them!! Very fresh & springy! I also really love the green dress. Song or no, I think green is a great fashion color. And so is red, I don’t know if I have seen you wear red before, but your birthday outfit is fantastic! Sadly, no giftcards here for Christmas, so no spring shopping…at least until my MJC trunk show!

Irony: finding your site while doing an image search for “bicycle dress” to decide if it would look foolish for me to wear the dress at my age. HA!
