Happy Holidays everyone.
I took the girls to see The Muppets this morning. If you haven’t seen it – GO! I don’t remember the last movie I loved that much. The nostalgia got to me. I grew-up on the Sunday night Muppets on the T.V. I admit I cried several times just out of pure joy. Also I was the only parent who gave the movie a standing ovation at the end. Listening to all of the parents laugh throughout the movie while our kids sat their clueless was seriously priceless.
GO!
Also, yes I took Astrid to a movie. She’s two and she did great. But it was a 9:30am movie. Awesome.
We spent the rest of the day doing a bit of last minute shopping, baking cookies and then after Astrid was cozy in bed I let the big girls stay up and we watched the third Harry Potter movie. They are just now getting into them. It was fabulous. Eloise is probably still sitting up in her bed with her lights on and eyes open. She spent much of the movie hiding under a blanket. Esther kept saying “OMG how cool!” I’m in Eloise’s camp when it comes to scary movies.
We have a quiet weekend planned. We are going a good friend’s home for Christmas eve and will have friends over Christmas afternoon for games and then my dad is coming for dinner. I’m making ham and shrimp. Good thing we aren’t Jewish anymore.
Speaking of Jewish, when the holidays are over I have a post about religion based upon a conversation that Eloise and I had this week. Oy. Speaking of that subject - when we visited my Grandma last weekend (oh, she turned 88 on the 22nd by the way – yes we share a birthday) she called me a “liberal city girl” Best. Compliment. Ever. I love still being a girl.
Anyway, enjoy our Holiday Card. If you really want a hard copy one next year just email me your address and you are on our list. Otherwise, enjoy it here. with the outtakes. I totally scrapped this photo shoot we did in the woods and we decided to play dress-up and get out some fur and pearls. The girls were in heaven. What can I say – they are girly-girls.
Have a fabulous weekend. I am thankful for all of you who take the time to visit here. Maybe I will send you all a candy cane.
Love you and Happy Holidays.
xoxo, Tracy

Thank you! Happy Holidays my friend. I hope you are enjoying your time off. xoxo
I love the card–when on earth did you have a day warm enough to make your girlies stand outside with no coats?
Merry Christmas, my friend. Glad I found you this year. Hoping for snow for you. If you get some, will you please go out in it and savor it for me? I miss it so much.
Merry Christmas to you and yours also. Okay, it was like 35 degrees out so they were only slightly cold. No snow here. Such a bummer. First brown Christmas in a very long time. xo
Okay, so I totally want to go see the Muppets now!!! Used to love watching that show!
I LOVE your Christmas card & think the girly fur & feather boas & mustaches is SO perfect for your sweet girls! (You can try the forest/nature shoot again next year because even if it doesn’t work out, it makes for great blog fodder!)

Happy Holidays to you!!!
You would’ve been great as a mother of boys, mother of girls, mother of both..
The joy you have in being the mother of your children is so felt in your words here.

How awesome are those pictures!! Love the outfits and mustaches. I bet your girls had fun taking these.
amazing photos and what a fantastic card. i am so stealing the moustaches idea for our card next year.
I love that the tree goes to the ceiling & the addition of the mustaches to the card . . . well, they’re great.
We tried the Muppet Movie the day after Thanksgiving . . . but the stomach bug hit, and, well, it didn’t work out the way it was supposed to. Yuck.
I cried during the darn Muppet movie too! Such great memories… and we took Katie also. She did pretty well, well when she wasn’t running up and down the steps anyway… ;P
LOVE that first shot of the three girls together and your card! Merry (belated) Christmas!!
