We do not have cable television. I know. Cry for me.
Also my favorite show is the 10pm news. I then go to bed right after Jay Leno’s monologue.

Anyway, because of the wonder of “the internets” I don’t really need cable to watch some of my favorite shows.
One show I must watch each week is Project Runway.
I love fashion, I love reality TV, and I love Tim Gunn.

Project Runway is one of the shows that my wife has as an absolute “must watch,” and I’ll even admit that I want adopt Tim Gunn as my uncle.

I’m really embarrassed to admit how much Reality TV I watch.
Because my kids are beyond the age of “childhood” television and our family time at night is snuggling on the couch as a family watching…
CRAP.
But seriously. After a day of school, homework, karate and (of course of course of course) reading, we usually settle in for one hour of television each night. And the only thing we can all agree on that everyone’s willing to watch is Reality TV.
So. Are you ready?
As a family, we will watch The Amazing Race, Survivor, The Biggest Loser, Top Chef, Hell’s Kitchen and pretty much anything on HGTV, Travel Channel or TLC.
I know this sounds like a lot but some of these shows are seasonal and it’s really only like one hour a day. Usually. Sometimes.
Also, for full disclosure, my daughter and I (without the boys) watch Project Runway, Say Yes to the Dress, Toddlers & Tiaras and America’s Next Top Model.
Please don’t hate me or call CPS. We discuss why some of these shows are ridiculous and why the some of the people on them are crazy and/or vapid.
It’s quality bonding time. And we don’t shop.
