Dear Astrid,
It is so bloody hot here and now I have this hot, sticky, cranky baby plastered on my hot, sticky, cranky body and it is taking me a land that I like to call crazy. Crazy with a capital C and that doesn’t rhyme with A – so stop it…seriously.

Let’s start practicing respect for personal space in this heat. mkay? Mommy is hot. and cranky. and crazy. You can just watch me sweat from across the room instead of touching my sweat with your sticky baby hands with sharp nails.
We can bond again when the heat breaks.
You are pretty black and white my friend, so let me just list your likes and dislikes so I can bring them up with you graduate college, shall we?

Likes – fruit, your sisters, cool water, dumping drinks upside down and rubbing them into the carpet, throwing food on the ground, gravity in general, pinching my legs causing me to scream, pulling all the books off of the shelf, diving down the stairs, drinking hairspray, putting your sister’s underwear on your head, spitting, eating chalk, and pulling the cats hair – causing him to bite you(which you don’t like) and then you scream and cry and he lays by you again and you pull his hair AGAIN and he bites you AGAIN and then you cry and then he lays by you again and you pull his hair AGAIN and he bites you and you cry – rinse, lather, repeat 50 times per day – just STOP okay – you 2 drive me nuts!
Dislikes – strange people, most people, pretty much any people, sitting in your car seat, sitting in your highchair, sitting still, sitting in your stroller, not being able to do everything your sisters can do, laying in your bed, sleeping, eating bread, when the cat bites you after you pull his hair(see above), getting your picture taken, wearing clothing, coffee, loud noises and people – did I mention people?

30 days until I have a one year old. That is what mommy dislikes. Stay my whiny, cranky, crazy baby just a wee bit longer okay? Just don’t touch me when I am hot.
Love you,
Mom

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I just have to say… you are so darned funny! And, these photos are adorable! What a little pumpkin you have! I can’t believe the cat biting episodes… jeesh.

Once again….I don’t believe a word you say about her, ROFL. No, no….I understand completely, DD#1 was a lot like Astrid. She’s a great intellectual person now at age 12 she’s a lot of fun to be with (when she’s not driving me up a tree fighting with her siblings, talking back to me, avoiding her daily work, fighting with her siblings–did I already say that?)
Enjoy your last month with your infant, I’m pretty sure she’ll be a toddler come 12 months, right?
I can’t even remember these days. Wish I had started blogging earlier. Makes me sad to not remember the sticky, sweaty hands.
You do know that no one believes what a monster you portray her as….with those sweet, innocent, ADORABLE pictures…but I can confirm that she does not like people. Maybe next time, show us a cranky picture? And be grateful for the cooling relief that the rain brought us today…

I have been out of pocket a few days and am reading backwards. Because of your comment about the number of comments here vs. the number for the cat, I am purposely ignoring your cat’s birthday. So there.
Your beautiful, beautiful baby is perfection, no matter what “stories” you try to tell about that bundle of sweetness. I will personally stalk you if you ever stop with the regular posts about her.
Cute post! I am your newest follower from friday follow, I hope you’ll stop by and say hi!
